1. Policy Statement
EduuMatch is committed to providing a safe environment for children who use the Platform to find tutoring services. Child safety is non-negotiable. This policy defines our standards, expectations, and enforcement measures to protect minors.
EduuMatch has zero tolerance for child safety violations. Any confirmed child safety violation results in immediate permanent termination of all involved accounts and referral to law enforcement. No warnings. No appeals.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all Tutors offering services to minors (under 18 years of age), all Parents registering minors on the Platform, all EduuMatch employees, contractors, and moderators, and all Platform content, communications, and interactions involving minors.
3. Prohibited Conduct
By Tutors
- Engage in any form of physical, verbal, or emotional abuse of a minor
- Make sexually suggestive comments or send inappropriate content to a minor
- Solicit personal information from a minor beyond what is necessary for tutoring
- Communicate with a minor outside of Platform channels
- Share contact information directly with a minor
- Conduct tutoring sessions in private, unobserved settings without Parent presence
- Photograph, record, or screen-capture a minor without explicit Parent consent
- Share or publish any identifying information about a minor
- Engage in grooming behaviours
By Parents
- Supervise their child's use of the Platform
- Monitor tutoring sessions as appropriate for the child's age
- Report any concerning behaviour by a Tutor immediately
- Not share their child's personal information unnecessarily
4. Mandatory Reporting
The following must be reported to EduuMatch Trust & Safety immediately: sexual misconduct, physical abuse, grooming behaviour, illegal content, and privacy violation. Use the in-app "Report" button, email info@eduumatch.com, or contact local law enforcement if a child is in immediate danger.
5. Verification and Screening
All Tutors who offer services to minors must complete identity verification (government ID), complete qualification verification, consent to background checks (where legally permitted), acknowledge this Child Safety Policy, and complete annual child safety acknowledgment.
6. Platform Safeguards
- Communication monitoring: Platform messages between Tutors and Parents are subject to automated safety screening
- Session recording: Online tutoring sessions may be recorded for safety purposes (with disclosure)
- Parental controls: Parents can restrict which tutors can contact their child
- Report button: Every message and profile has an accessible report button
- Contact protection: Tutors never receive a minor's direct contact information
7. Legal Compliance
EduuMatch complies with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, Information Technology Act, 2000 (Section 67B), Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, and NCPCR guidelines.
Child safety is everyone's responsibility. If you see something, say something.
